After I had my son, T, I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my future. After a little push my a friend, she encouraged me to study what I loved best. After a lot of thought in what that was, I always came back to Art. So here I am, 18 month later and I have just finished my first year at University studying Fine Art! Even better is that next year I’m taking on an extra module of photography and have just managed to bag a studio spot at Neo Artists for over the 2014 Summer holidays! I am one lucky lady.
Art has had a major influence in my photography and vice-versa. Artists that influence my photography is James Durden, Edward Hopper, Gerhard Richter and Johannes Vermeer.
I have always been curious about light and darkness in art and have found that has transcended into every piece of work I do. I love to work with natural light, how softly it falls onto the skin and illuminates a room or the skin. However, I also do some studio work and have a full working studio with props.
As photography is a big part of my life now, it seems to be taking quite a big space up on my blog so I have now created separate pages just for it and where to buy.
